The Principality of Monaco was established in January 1297, a date that marks the beginning of the Grimaldi family’s rule over the Rock. Following Prince Rainier’s marriage to Grace Kelly in 1956, the Princely family of Monaco has remained prominently featured in global media, elevating “Monaco” and its world famous district “Monte-Carlo” to one of the most recognizable names worldwide, synonymous with an exclusive lifestyle.

Founded in 2001 by Baron Christian Louis de Massy — a member of the ruling family of the Principality of Monaco — with the support of his uncle, Prince Rainier III, the Monte-Carlo Lifestyle brand portfolio stands as a testament to Monaco’s enduring legacy.

In 2018, Baron Christian Louis de Massy entrusted the legacy of these prestigious brands to private ownership. Today, they remain authentic brands from Monaco, Monte-Carlo under the Monte-Carlo Lifestyle company.

BIRTH OF A VISION

The story of Monte-Carlo Lifestyle begins with a vision: to market “L’Art de Vivre Monaco” through products that would benefit from the prestige and renown of brands labeled ‘Monaco’ and ‘Monte-Carlo’

2001

Baron Christian Louis de Massy, member of the princely family of the Principality of Monaco and nephew of Prince Rainier III, registered his first “Monte-Carlo” trademark, laying the first stone of an authentic brand empire.

2001-2005

Baron de Massy continued to register several other trademarks and logos, gradually developing a unique portfolio of intellectual property related to Monaco.

February 24, 2005

Formation of the “Monte-Carlo Lifestyle” Civil Society by Baron de Massy, who transferred ownership of his trademarks to the company, thus providing it with a registered capital of 1,500,000 euros.

2005-2018

Continuous development of the brand portfolio with the addition of new collections, each reflecting the sophistication of Monaco.

2018

Baron Christian Louis de Massy entrusted the legacy of these brands to private ownership. Today, they remain authentic brands from Monaco, Monte-Carlo under the Monte-Carlo Lifestyle company.
